Imagine - 2000 books at 9 books / page: 223 pages of TOC to flip through.

It's interesting to hear about changes between old Kinoma-based Sony Readers the Android-based PRS-T1. I personally use the scrollbar alphabet a
lot. Even for shorter lists (e.g. Author List and Collections), I still tend to use the scrollbar alphabet rather than just pressing the button for the next page.
Doesn't make sense for Sony to drop this feature, though. Are you sure the books are sorted by either Author, Title or Filename on the T1? Because if it was sorted by Date Added, then the scrollbar alphabet isn't going to show up.
