Maybe but that article was not correct in the first place because the reader was not going to have all 7 books on it. It was only to be the black ones & they were only going to get the first book. It wasn't even on the reader itself, it was a coupon for a free digital download.

It's just misinformation that's been requoted all over the place on the net but none of it is true.

An awful lot of folks, myself included, with the black Sony T1 have a sticker in the top right corner covering the info on the coupon that was to be included in the box for the free first book in the series - Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone. Since Pottermore & the sales of the ebooks got delayed, Sony had to recall the units to open them to remove the coupon, JKR's letter & put the sticker overtop of the Pottermore info on the box. That's why the sale of the T1 itself got delayed.
