I came across a situation where the T1 would not let me directly add a new collection manually on the device - it said that the collection maximum had been reached and that I would have to delete some collections.

All the books had been added to the T1 via Calibre, using the meta tags picked up via the search function and however else Calibre does it. The books are on the device; I have an 8GB SD card card in it that I haven't added anything to yet.

But - this maximum was reached with only 44 books! I have a PRS-350 with hundreds of books on it, added via Calibre the same way, and I've never had a problem creating a new collection.

So maybe there's just something intrinsically wrong with the Sony collection software coding.
