I've been following the Miles storyline, and it's been pretty good so far, but it's strange seeing someone so young fighting crime. Actually, what he told Peter was "When you hit 18 you're mine." (Juveniles are excluded from his control.)
Officially he *was* going to shut Miles down anyway(yeah, right!) but the kid took out a big bad so he got "a chance". (In reality, once he saw the kid can go invisible he realized trying to ground him would be more trouble than he's worth. Besides, if he gets killed it's extra ammo he can use to get control over all superhumans. Kids as well as adults.)
Besides, Ultimate Fury is a bigger power freak than 616-Dr Doom.
He's no good guy.
