I was being silly, of course, but there are so many nouns which I am having a hard time seeing as verbs.
Now, instead of giving someone a birthday gift, I gifted them with a trip to the movies.
Some things are just progression of language and are difficult for my grammar "groove" to adjust to, other things are just plain ole bad grammar.
