Following a tip from Viewsonic I googled Kindle 3.4.1.1 and downloaded it onto the 7e from 1mobile market.
On installing, I found that I had 3.4.2.4. Bargain!
It just goes to show that you don't judge a person or a company if things go wrong - you give them the chance to set things right and then tell everyone how good they are.
11 out of 10 Viewsonic. Top Job.
