1. I went to a 3rd party M-Edge case which is much better than the cover supplied with the Kindle.
2. Send an email to kindle-feedback at amazon dot com requesting a firmware update that allows one to disable the next page button on the right side.
3. This is an issue facing most eBook readers on the market.
