What sort of a comic is it?

There are an awful lot of different comics out there ranging from xkcd, buttersafe, cyanide and happiness, through Superhero Girl ( http://superherogirladventures.blogspot.com/ - went on hiatus LITERALLY this week, but still a hundred back issues to peruse) to your full on Marvel/DC heavy-weights.

Where you go to get promoted and attract viewers is going to depend on what sort of a comic it is.

If that's the sort of thing they're doing maybe he should approach them - but there was a recent blog post from Faith Erin Hicks, who draws Superhero Girl, which may put aspiring comic artists off (the blog post is under the comic page):
