On the Tag Browser, right-click on "Tags" then select "Manage Tags". There, you can select multiple tags (not sure what the Mac equivalent is but on Windows, it's usually Shift to select consecutive and Ctrl to select individual items), then click on the button with green recycle icon to delete.
