Tags - delete multiples from library?

Is there an easy way to delete multiple tags all at once? I mean delete the tags completely from library. I know how how to delete a specific tag from multiple books in one fell swoop. What I want to do is completely get rid of a great many tags.

The only delete-tag option I see is to select a tag in the tag browser and delete it. I haven't been able to select multiple tags and zap them in a single click.

Right now, I'm looking at 61 tags in the tag browser of my fiction library; at most, I want to keep only five of those. That's 56 tags of clutter I want to clear away. Those junk tags imported with books added as a group.

Trying to clean up tags with a one-by-one deletion method is sure not how I'd like to spend my time. This is just one library. I have others with junk tags as well. Can anyone offer a relief method of deleting multiple tags at once?

Please note: I am no whiz in Calibre and for sure don't understand it all. I muddle along. So I need detailed instructions for any method which isn't menu-driven or otherwise relatively simple. I *can* follow good instructions, though, even if I don't understand what I'm doing. :-))

I did poke through preferences, hoping to see a place where all tags are listed and could be multiply selected, but if it's there, I didn't find it.

Any help would be appreciated.
