No, sounds more like an issue with them (Kobo sometimes goes thru spells where they don't like my computers, either, but it's been a while). Everyone wants to make their websites more full of bells and whistles, but it just causes more and more problems.
Mom uses an iPad most of the time, which means the B&N sites is nearly unusable for her (the download button won't work with whatever iOS version she currently has installed).
