Yes well, this is funny....
- Flightcrew reports an error
- Epubcheck reports
no error (at lat not with this attribute ...

- A Quick glance on "Open Publication Structure (OPS) 2.0.1" shows, that there's actually no reason, that the attribute is within the <link>-tag (devices may just ignore it).
My best sugestion: toss it out !
If, for any unexpected reason, a media directive is nessessary, then ist should be, as foretold, in CSS.
