I did not test it with 1.6, but with 1.7, I can use the joystick to pan in most zoom modes (not in hide-margin much to my chagrin
)
Or did I misunderstand your request? If so - please add it as you meant it. Otherwise, it's working in 1.7 (already was with the version from 21/02/12)
