I agree with those who say the Touch is MUCH better than the Classic. As mentioned, the battery life alone is enough to recommend it. I also get 4 weeks with the Touch vs 4 days with my old Classic (which I sold). Plus, the screen on the Touch is better - whiter, more contrast. It's a no brainer, IMHO.
