What a pitty!
One thing I really liked about the Jetbook mini is it's INSTANT ON mode, and it's near to zero battery sipping in stand by.
Makes you wonder why they're not simply storing RAM data into flash before shutting down; and while booting just load it to memory?
Perhaps flash memory would serve better as RAM. I heard there are some interesting developments in RAM space, which will allow you to suspend RAM without consuming any power.
But it'll probably take a while before such technologies are adapted to devices like this.
Their main focus is to be used in cellphones.
Speaking of which,
It would be interesting to see these tablets being powered by current cellphone technology!
I mean, my cellphone can play simple 3D games, has only a 600mAh 3,7V battery, which is very low, and yet can remain on standby over 7 days!
Eventhough it's screen is a lot smaller,it appears to me, that my cellphone could outperform some of these readers!
I could be wrong though...
