Hi,

I am new to this forum, and never have downloaded a Kindle book.
Is it possible to download a book offered via Kindle to my pc which I could then transfer onto my Eco-Reader?

I have an e-book reader, Eco-Reader, which allows me to read Epub formats, pdf, word documents and many other formats. Yet it is a simple reader, doesn't connect on to the internet or anything. It's just a device I connect to my PC and download the pdf file or other file I need onto my reader.

My understanding has always been that I couldn't download a Kindle book because I can't download it to my Eco Reader, that it is somehow locked into the Kindle/Amazon system. . It does not have Wifi. and I do not ever read a book on my pc, that's why I got myself an ereader in the first place.

I find it all very confusing to be honest.
Do I have to have a Kindle to be able to download Kindle books?
