Resources for comic writers

Hey all,

I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a friend of mine who, with a partner, is trying to get a comic off the ground. He'd like to start a website for it, including "professional reviews" (his words) and hopefully get it read or published. I'm staying out of it for the most part since it's not my project, but he asked me if I knew of any way to get some exposure for the comic and get some people to read and review it.

I guess I'm asking if anyone knows of comic review websites/blogs they'd recommend as some that would be willing to review a new, unpublished comic. Or any other words of advice anyone is willing to share would be appreciated also. Thanks wonderful MRers!
