Sadly, I think once you import them into the kobo reader and tell it to remove them from the sd, they are then in a location/format where you cannot easily recover them. Maybe it has unzipped them somewhere within the kobopegasus folder? (epubs are just zip files containing html files) If you want to recover the space and it seems that is where they are, you could try deleting the contents of that folder (I am just talking off the top of my head here, if something goes horribly wrong, do not blame me!). In any case, it looks like you will need to reload them.
