Incredible carvings!

on a somewhat pretentious note, one advantage of paper books for the author is they give you tangible, artisan-like end-point for the writing process. as you finish drafts and move towards printing, the craft takes over, and there's something really satisfying about it. with an ebook it's a bit of a flop. I don't know whether this might actually CHANGE the way we write, but that craft element is certainly something I used to look forward to.
