I've a ton of older Mobi format books and I'd rather avoid Calibre if possible.

Baen knows about the Kindle bug and a rep told me they're recommending Aldiko instead. Fine, but Aldiko only groks epub. :P Perhaps I should tell Amazon their bug is pushing publishers to recommend non-Amazon software and ebook formats.
