Is the time / date correct on the Touch?
Does the device show up in ADE as being authorized to the correct ID?
Do the IDs shown on Settings | Account for Adobe Authorization match your ADE ID?
Have you tried a reset / repatch / reauthorize to ADE / reinstall books?
