IIRC there are numerous resource issues that are impacted if it gets much bigger.
Each batch ending releases resources.

Note: that a batch also hammers free metadata source resources. At some point, they may just say 'ENOUGH!' and lock us out (it has happened already).

100 book are more than you can read in a week let alone in an hour
