Sadly, with the California income tax law changing in July myself and many other Prime customers will be buying a lot less on AZ, so we will see how they do after that since most buy because of the no tax price.

Living in Washington I already pay sales tax on most items purchased through Amazon. And while I don't want to turn this into a political discussion, I'd say that I'm happy to pay a tax that helps support services like schools, police, and fire protection in my community.
I'd further note that my work consists primarily of working with county governments in California. I can assure you that despite Californians' belief that they're heavily taxed, they're not. At least in comparison to other states. (The tax burden in California ranks about 15th among all states.) Furthermore, the insane property tax system in California resulting from Proposition 13 means that the tax burden is among the most inequitable in the United States. Don't like your tax burden in California? Eliminate Prop 13. But that ain't gonna happen.
P.S. Sorry for the threadjacking. I've had to listen to more than my share of Californians whining about taxes over the years.
