Aristotle says that most virtues (maybe not justice) lie between two vices: excess and deficiency. so courage is a virtue. Too much leads to rashness. Too little leads to timidity. Neither will allow a person to flourish.

So, yes, you can have too much clarity. Do you really want to clarify things by telling your boss what you think of her? Or do you want to be a doormat? (--the answer to both is 'No', by the way). You want just the right amount of clarity demanded by any particular situation.
