OK, here's an alternate thought: Can I run Calibre on my desktop and laptop, then mesh the two libraries and database files as necessary to allow me to synchronize them. I would have to copy over the existing database file, I guess, but would that work?
(BTW, Calibre's library is already on one of my external hard drives -- the same one I keep most of my data, including my new downloads on. The program itself is on the C drive.)
