Question about Adding Books and Library Location...

Hey all,

I am a new user and so far have been happy with Calibre. I have a Kindle Fire.

When I installed Calibre it created a folder in my "Users" folder. I left it alone. The place where I had my downloaded books stored in was different, but on the same drive. After adding my books into Calibre I went back to look at the folder that Calibre created and there were the books that I just added and were neatly organized into separate folders. I read the manual and it mentions this folder and also to NOT add anything to it manually as it might be deleted by Calibre.

My question is whether I can delete the MOBI or EPUB files that I have stored in the other folder after I load them into Calibre. Not that they take up a lot of space, they don't, but there's no sense in having a separate folder that has the exact same thing in it.

Can I delete them?

Thanks for the help
