Or they could excise them all and end up with a nice, fast-paced, and *short* movie. (I'm minded of the Tom Clancy movies; they strip off Clancy's infodumps and it turns out there's usually a decent short story inside most Clancy novels.)  |
Yes that would work, strip the pages of exposition down to the bone, lighten up on the political browbeating to focus on the action. Hire a good showrunner to pace the seasons, hire a good effects company to do the CGI and throw away some of the realism in favor of the rule of cool (times and distances will have to be compressed, objects in space will need to make sound, its an audio/visual medium)
