The reason might be simply to disassotiate from the book. You name it the same and people start comparing movie and book. Plus they will have expectations that a movie is a perfect visualization of the book. That is rarely happening and you cannot expect it to be. Sometimes movie doovers are named the same to specifically associate them together.

I always thought those body switching movies come from different books, and not from one book beeing recycled over and over again. That is a very good idea that works potentially better in film than in words, IMHO.
