Your lucky, we could not afford a radio when I was growing up. My dad painted dials on a box and he got inside and pretended he was a radio announcer. My favorite show was called: You kids have it too easy these days. It was all about how rough my dad had it when he was my age. His family could not even afford a box! I still remember the episode where my dad had to walk 10 miles up hill in the snow get to school. After school he had to walk ten miles up hill in the snow to get back home. Later when my family had some money saved up my dad cut a square hole in the box and we had television. Those were the days. I have always found the past perfect and the present tense.
