The Kindle Touch seems a little sturdier to me than any of the others I've used. I've dropped mine on a hard wood floor from about 4 feet and luckily nothing broke. My 8 month old chews and drools on it on occasion and so far no problems have stemmed from that either. I do recommend using a sleeve or case. I use a Javoedge flex sleeve and it works great.
