Glen, Dickens did not need any of those in his time. It was only his health which prevented him from making millions and millions. The money he did earn was I believe the equivolent to a few million today, but his outgoings were enormous, which included a wife who, although done nicely I think, was paid to keep quiet about his fancy lady in later life.
