I used to be able to right click on an epub and open with Calibre.

I don't know why but now I always see a 'setup launcher' but no Calibre anymore in the program list. If I search Calibre with the browse option, it still won't open with it.

I had to totally uninstall Calibre for some reason, and reinstall the latest Calibre update. I have the problem since I did that. Could it be a 'plugin' problem?

Also I think it's the setup launcher (Sony) that tells me to reformat my Sony reader more than once, which I don't want to do. I never use the Sony program and it bugs me, it's interfering with Calibre.

I can still use the 'add book option' in Calibre though.

Does someone know how to get it all working right again?

Thanks,

Lucky Lady

p.s. I use W7
I would uninstall (again)
(delete the old Calibre installer)
REBOOT when that is done

Then download a fresh copy of the installer (discourage your A/V from messing with files without asking what to do).

Install that version. The context menu should list 'Viewer for all E-Book formats' for any of Calibre's registered formats.
