I find it difficult to know which is the main "slushpile" thread as you call it, versus posts that are about a single book. Maybe a prefix (perhaps "SLUSHPILE" in block caps) that indicates this is the day's thread where you will add other books throughout the day, and a place where you encourage people to add their own? The more threads there are, the more difficult it is for me to make sure I don't miss any throughout the day. Unless I'm missing something and there's a much easier way to follow it?
