"Stormship Trooper"

One of the worst Science Fiction movies of all time, made from a wonderful book about what it's like to be a soldier a hundred years or so into the future.

The author, Robert A. Heinlein had some odd political beliefs that were neither liberal or conservative. But they were his beliefs and one of the reasons he wrote books. To me the movie "Stormship Troopers" sums up everything about the unthinking, self indulgent, money grubbing attitude those of us in flyover country thinks Hollywood is like.

I could have lived with merely a bad movie but they twisted Robert Heinlein's admittedly odd political beliefs into this Politically Correct mush that had no coherency and was essentially silly.

Doogie Howser owes us all a personal apology.
