That was a pretty good book! Not the best in the steampunk genre, but I am looking forward to the next in the series. I also recommend:
  • The Half-Made World by Felix Gilman
  • The Mortal Engines series by Phillip Reeve
  • The Native Star by M.K. Hobson
  • The Thirteenth Child by Patricia Wrede
  • Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman

They are either Supernatural Westerns or Dystopian London. What can I say, I'm not very adventurous in my reading taste. Great topic though, I'm always looking for steampunk without close ties to Urban Fantasy or Paranormal.
