I originally posted the following in the Devices forum but got on replies so I'm re-posting it here to see if anyone here knows.

What criteria does calibre use for determining if a book on the Kindle is the same as one stored in the calibre library?

Does calibre synchronise changes made to metadata of books in the calibre library to the book on the Kindle when it is connected via USB?
