Do I need to uninstall Sigil?

I just got Sigil. I tried to learn to use it on a junk manuscript, so it put junk stuff in a folder, including HTMLs and .JPGs with odd names I assumed were normal.

I completely cleaned out the folder to start over. I reopened Sigil and went to load a manuscript I wanted to publish. Now it always loads without images and when I try to put images in it says there are no images available. I've tried to paste an image into the view of the HTML, but it ignores the paste.

I figured by clicking on "Image" I could find a place to input images. NOOOOOOOOOOO!

Also I can find nothing about how to put in a cover photo.

I'm guessing this is one of those apps that hide secret data somewhere on your system, so do I need to uninstall it and start over?

Of course if it's stashing data it probably won't REALLY uninstall everything.
