Loading images and Aldiko disappearing
A few weeks ago I loaded some images on the Vox using Dropbox. If I recall, it asked me whether I wanted to open them with Gallery, ES Explorer or Astro. I think I chose Gallery and ended up with half a dozen pictures in Gallery. The other day I opened Gallery and the pictures I had loaded were nowhere to be found. Instead, all I found were a few book cover images. It seems that Gallery searches out images no matter where they are located on the Vox.
So, today I tried loading some pictures to show people at work. I did it both using WiFi Explorer, and when that didn't seem to be working after some were loaded, I used the USB cable. I really didn't know where I was putting them. I thought they were going on the external SD card, but they ended up on the internal one, in the root directory. What I want to know is, where are you supposed to put pictures you load, or does it matter?
Also, why did the original pictures I loaded from Dropbox disappear?
Another weird thing happened after I'd loaded the pictures today. When I went to my Home screen, my Aldiko shortcut was replaced by an Android icon called com.aldiko.android and it wouldn't launch Aldoko, but gave an error message. Aldiko was also no longer on my All Apps screen. I panicked and installed Aldiko again, and all was well and my books were just as I'd left them. Then, when I added more pictures via USB, the Aldiko disappeared again. However, after I unmounted and remounted the external SD card, Aldiko was back again. Has anyone else seen anything like that? Anyone know why it happens?
