In my case, I will probably base the directory structure (under documents) on the Author's last name, going deeper (if allowed) with First Name subdirectories. That's how I have most of my books organized on my computer.

I keep spreadsheets not only for my ebooks, but also for my DVDs and CDs. Those sheets I keep on my PDA. The first time I purchased a DVD I already had at home, I knew the collection was getting out of control and I needed to keep something with me when I shopped.
