Not scary, but it is intense at times. Joe Hill seems to be trying to channel his father (Stephen King) in this story, but he did a great job. I think I'll be checking out his other two books.

I liked this one as well. I thought there were some pretty chilling moments at the start that got me going, but after that it stopped being even remotely scary. I did like the book though and I own his other two books as well so I certainly wasn't put off.
