This is my first post and I'd like to ask if anyone can tell me what's wrong with the following HTML code for generating my TOC in epub format? The MOBI output works perfectly well for a multi-level TOC. I am using images for my chapter headings, using the H1 and H2 tags to generate a mutl-level TOC that would look like this:
Part I
1
2
3
... etc.
Part 2
1
2
3
... etc.
This TOC code works perfectly well for MOBI and on my Kindle. But it does not work for epub with KOBO, Nook for PC, or Adobe Digital Editions viewers. With those viewers, the multi-level TOC "visually" appears to be there (all the titles and sub-chapter numbers appear) but when you click on any of the links, nothing happens. So the actual TOC recognition seems to be working, but the actual links are dead.
As I said, this approach works perfectly well with MOBI and Kindle.

For the Table Of Contents tab in Calibre, I’m using this:
Level 1 TOC: //h:h1
Level 2 TOC: //h:h2
Here’s what the TOC looks like on the NOOK viewer when you open it:
p.2, Cover Page
p.3, Prologue
P.3,Part I
p.3, 1
p.3, 2
... .etc.
p.3, Part 2
p.3, 1
p.3, 2
... etc.
I have no idea what those p.2’s and p.3’s are, or why the TOC “appears” to be there but doesn’t work. (BTW, in the other viewers, you see the TOC as it should appear, no strange p.2 or p.3, but the links don't work).
Any ideas? I’d appreciate any insight anyone could offer. Thank you!
