10 is a bit long for 600
but some of that depends on what Calibre has to do when sending.
Metadata for each book sent is refreshed before it is sent.
Antivirus scans of the Device or the Library (and Calibre modules) can impact speed.
Process Explorer/Task Manger might show you some clues as to what is going on.
