I'm a big fan of the books -- I'll probably see the movie next week. I'm not expecting the movie to live up to the book -- it couldn't be long enough -- but it looks like it should be entertaining. Honestly, it doesn't have the funding to be a blockbuster.

The only glaring problem I have with the casting is Ranger -- I pictured more of a body-builder. And sminarovich, I think Paul Sorvino would have been perfect as Stephanie's Dad. And, of course, Stephanie is supposed to have blue eyes.

There's no way they actually could have filmed in Trenton, IMHO, with traffic and congestion. I've read that the suburban Pittsburgh stand-in is pretty good -- and that was in the Newark Star Ledger.


Anyway, I go to a movie theater maybe twice a year. This sounds like it could be fun.
