Personally, I like both - they each have their interesting qualities which I do not anthropomorphise into a hierarchical structure (unless they're sitting on my chair, in which case I realise that I'm the runt of the litter and go sit somewhere else).
Gibbons are good (and by "good" I don't wish to impose human value systems on another species but merely apply it by way of subjective pleasure and admiration at the way Adrian the invisible and inadvertently violent gibbon gets pleasure pulling wings off angels).
