My first unit the charger took some work to plug into the port. My replacement does not have this issue. So it varies.
The stock app reader needs some work. Get Screen Dimm at the app store for night reading. It's well worth it.
I use Mantano for reading mostly. It has collections!
You have to convert your kindle books to epub though. It has TTS but the voice is very metallic.
