I've had a Kindle for about a year, but just recently started using Calibre to organize my ebooks. In the process I've become more interested in the technical details of ebooks and how they are produced. As a first step I wrote a
Calibre recipe for a magazine I like. I hope to continue contributing one way or another to the community.
Incidentally last spring
I helped a friend build a book scanner. The result isn't perfect but it was a fun project. Now I am tentatively thinking about building another, incorporating some improvements learned from that effort.
