I have 2 Kindles, an HP Touchpad, 2 iPhones and K4PC on 2 PCs.
All are registered with Amazon and Amazon lets me deliver my Amazon books to any of them. I am not just talking about out-of-copyright books either.
EDIT: Definitely, no need to fiddle with DRM.
