Thank you.

Even if you don't care for the look of the human figures, there are props for object covers or building covers, and toon characters and environments as well. There's no reason you can't mix stock photos, textures, vectors, and 3D. It's just one more tool to use.

When I got rights back on some of my backlist titles, I offered them for sale on my site -- this was back in early 2007, before there was a Kindle, a Nook, or even a Smashwords. I had to acquire/purchase and install conversion utilities for every format I offered. At that time, it was PDF, LIT, PRC, and PDB. Some conversions went well, others not. Creating a TOC could be frustrating. I had to buy digital store software to auto deliver the ebooks because PayPal's cart and Buy Now buttons didn't protect the download link -- and I really didn't want to manually email every link for every ebook I sold. Sometimes Paypal would make changes and break my store. I had to make my own covers; there weren't a lot of people offering services for ebook covers like there is now. I could still buy stock photos from istockphoto.com at prices my budget could easily handle, because Getty Images hadn't bought it yet.

All this pretty much from scratch, because there weren't many authors self-publishing their backlist titles as ebooks and there wasn't anyone I knew who could offer advice or suggestions.

I'm so glad all this is easier to do now and that so many people are willing to offer their help or expertise. I'd be happy to help anyone who uses DAZ Studio, wherever I can.
