Seattle is famous for its precipitation. That was the basis for my "joke".
The reality is that Seattle only receives around 94cm, which is less rain than cities like New York, Boston, Atlanta, and Baltimore. I answered thinking you were aware of that. I believe the perception comes from that fact that we're almost in a constant state of drizzle during the winter.
