Well, I bought the book and started reading it. It started out well, but as I got further into the book, I became less enthralled with it. Then I got to the city of Carlisle and those affected with Kuru -- the Reapers or Lecters (presumably after Hannibal Lecter) -- made their appearance. After reading a bit of that, I quit the book. Not my cup of tea.

But one thing I did note is that the book has grammar/spelling errors, mainly misuse of homonyms. Also, is "Higgans" British slang? I couldn't figure out why those on the battlefront were called Higgans or what Higgans really means.
